Irene Klampatsea

Associate Professor of NTUA, Dean of the School of Architecture, NTUA.
She studied architecture at NTUA (1989), postgraduate studies in regional development at the Institute of Regional Development, Panteion University (1993), PhD thesis at the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, School of Architecture, NTUA (2003).

She is teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in urban planning, spatial planning and sustainable development at NTUA (2005-), University of Thessaly (2004-2006), University of the Aegean (2005-2006) and Hellenic Open University (2006-2015).

She is Director of the Interdepartmental Postgraduate Programme “Urban Planning and Spatial Planning” at the School of Architecture, NTUA. Director of the Laboratory “Spatial Planning and Urban Development” at the School of Architecture, NTUA. She has Participation in a number of national and European research projects in the field of Urban Planning and Spatial Planning. She also has participated in Greek and international conferences with presentations and publications in scientific journals, books and edited volumes.

She is Elected member of the Scientific Committee of the Architectural Specialty of the Technical Chamber of Greece.
She is Secretary General of Spatial Planning and Urban Environment, Ministry of Environment and Energy (2015-2019).
