ENIRISST+​

Christos Tryfonopoulos

Dr. Christos Tryfonopoulos is an Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Telecommunications of the University of Peloponnese and a member of the Software Systems and Database Laboratory. In the past, he has served as Chair of the Department, Director of the MSc “Space Science, Technologies and Applications”, and Head of the Peer Node Systems and Information Management Division of the Max-Plank Institute of Computer Science, Germany. His research interests focus on the areas of web technologies and applications, data/information management, distributed systems (grid/cloud/p2p/agent computing), and digital libraries. He has published more than 100 research papers in his areas of research interests and has coordinated/collaborated in 16 European and national research and development projects. He has served as a referee in leading international journals and conferences, and has received two national fellowships and three awards/distinctions for his work in international scientific conferences.

ENIRISST+: Data management in the national research infrastructure for mobility, transport and logistics

ENIRISST+ is the extension of the unique national research infrastructure in the fields of shipping, logistics and transport in Greece, implemented by 11 universities and research centres in Greece. Its extension focuses on the development and provision of new services, platforms and databases to support key economic activities in the context of the Smart Specialisation (RIS3) of the regions of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, Peloponnese, North Aegean and Ionian Islands. The talk will focus on the digital infrastructure and data architecture of ENIRISST+ through examples of services in the shipping, supply chain and transport sectors that are being developed.
