The role of mobility in climate-neutral cities
Achieving climate-neutral cities requires reducing carbon emissions. The development of green modes of transport is vital, with public transport playing a leading role in this direction. This contribution aims to present innovative and green mobility solutions that can be implemented in cities with different characteristics to promote sustainable transport, combining public transport and emerging mobility services (such as shared vehicles, micro-mobility, etc.). Emphasis is placed on the need for participatory planning with the active involvement of all stakeholders, including citizens, policy makers, transport providers. This approach can help to develop innovative solutions that meet the needs of all stakeholders, leading to a more sustainable and equitable transport system.
